Health Care Strategy from GRT Capital Partners, L.L.C.

The investment objective of the GRT Health Care Strategy is to achieve superior total returns while minimizing the probability of permanent impairment of capital by primarily investing in publicly traded health care equity securities deemed to be undervalued and/or offering superior growth potential.

The portfolio manager for the GRT Health Care Strategy brings extensive experience in health care investment. New ideas may be obtained from company visits and meetings, medical and investor conferences, trade shows, publications and discussions with health experts, physicians or brokers. The portfolio manager makes good use of his direct health care experience to invest across all health care industries and market capitalizations.

To help preserve capital, especially in periods of generally falling stock prices, GRT Capital will also take short positions in companies deemed to have worsening business fundamentals or a deteriorating competitive position. To help increase returns, the strategy may employ leverage, through margin borrowing or in other ways, when GRT Capital deems such actions to be appropriate. While the strategy focuses primarily on U.S. equities, investments in non-U.S. securities may also be made.
